A fine day, pity I had no laundry, it would have dried outside today.
OH at the dentist this morning, two fillings, one side of his mouth was still numb after lunch, he is at the local history library looking through more microfiche films of the local paper.
Friday clean done. The sitting room has had all the furniture moved and hoovered underneath, used a damp cloth on the tiles under the stove, and damp dusted all the pine furniture.
Just had a message from my machine dealer Beautiful Betty is ready to come home, new light and serviced, report was the machine was in excellent condition and is running smoothly, so a trip tomorrow to collect her. We will have to be up and away early as the shop is not far from the Rugby ground and there is a big match tomorrow.....we do not want to get caught up in that.
A message yesterday from my virtual quilting friend in the US to say that her Father in Law had passed away. He has not been well for quite a long time and these last few weeks have been a real strain on the family. I am sad for them but FIL is at rest now and once the funeral is over they will be able to regroup and move forward.
Supper tonight fish and chips. OH requested banana's and custard, no probs there then.

Cleaning day here too. But since we are having rain I had to pop laundry in the dryer. Have a blessed weekend.
So glad that Beautiful Betty is ready to be picked up! I hope it doesn't cost very much. Enjoy your fish and chips and have a peaceful evening.
I thought I just posted a comment, but I guess not. One more time! I am glad that Beautiful Betty will be back tomorrow. Enjoy your fish and chips and have a peaceful evening.
Having your sewing machine back will be good. Enjoy the weekend, we are planning a peaceful one before we start looking after a ten week old baby on Monday.
Love reading about your cleaning days - just wish I could get going on mine with such zest!! Coming home to reality has made me realize I need to start on the Spring cleaning right now, so these past two days I've actually cleared out/cleaned part of the attic storage space - a great job done - and am now working on the guest room upstairs. Once the clear out of all that extraneous stuff is done I will be able to do a better heavy clean top to bottom. Not fun but necessary, and I do like a clean house!
Thanks for your recent comments Anne - wasn't able to blog whilst in Antarctica but am trying to catch up with everyone now.
Hugs - Mary
