We found a slight dusting of snow when we got up this morning. I managed to the library to get some books. OH went to the PO to post something for me and then passed me on his way into the library as I was coming out. The roofs and trees have quite a coating of the white stuff.
We are due to go out tonight so I decided to cook at lunch time and have sandwiches and cake for tea for a change, we have to leave around 6pm, if we go. Right now the sky is very grey and it is hurling down with snow, its very fine but settling on the paths, we will make our minds up about going out later once we have checked the road conditions. We have to travel via a number of country lanes to get to the village when the event is being held.
The laundry that was washed yesterday is dry, the sheets etc will get ironed later, the towels dried in the dryer overnight. Another load of dark clothes washed this morning, now draped over the clothes airer. As we have electric heating one thing the washing helps with is the level of humidity in the room, it can get very dry. I put the towel rain on in the bathroom when we went to bed, it takes the chill off and warms the towels. Its switched off in the day.
Nothing planned for the day, I got 'The Little Paris Kitchen' out of the library, I enjoyed the two series' so much, will be having a rifle through the pages for some new recipes. We love the French style of cooking, in fact my style is a fusion of French and English classic cooking.
Lunch today will be saucisse et puree de pomme de terre avec sauce diable, calebrese and carrots. We may not have dessert but save the banana for after our sandwiches and cake at tea time.

Lots of snow in lincolnshire along the east coast. Not bothering me as I am decorating. I like it really, we don't get it often and the grand kids love it.
Cheers that you were able to get to the library despite the snow so you have lovely books with recipes to feast your eyes on as you stay cozy.
Applause that you have such a good, sensible, and green way to humidify your home, too.
More cold rain for us today. FIL may get a bit damp as he leaves for his 5 days in respite care.
Hugs!
keep safe and warm xx
