OH spent some time down stairs sorting out the flower border at the back of the apartment. signs of spring the clematis is starting to show buds and there are signs of flower buds on the Azalea. There are a lot of plants that need splitting, I also need to sort out the two scree gardens. We lots a clematis last year, we plan to replace it with the Compassion rose, so it can climb up the wall, to do this I have to move a shrub and a couple of plants that are in the way, they can be re-planed once the rose is in.
I had read all my library books, a walk round the corner netted me 5 new books, should last me till next weekend.
We have hospital visits coming up, the most important one is OH's to see the cardiologist re his palpitations. I also have an appointment at the audiology clinic to check my hearing aid. They are at our local hospital thank heavens.....no trip to Edinburgh this time.
Supper tonight, roast chicken, parsnip, potato's, carrots, brussel sprouts for OH calebrease for me and cauliflower. Dessert is plum crumble and custard. I mix the crumble mix with muesli, gives it a nice crunchy texture. When we have plums in a crumble or pie I add some dried ginger, gives them a bit of bite.
Coming back....

Your supper tonight sounds yummy. I mix porridge oats with my crumble mix and that also makes it crunchy. Love the plums and ginger together too.
Your post sounds a lot 'brighter' tonight, so I'm pleased you must be feeling so much better, Anne.
Good luck with all your hospital visits this week.
Love Halaulani
You read 5 books in a week? you're a speedy reader!
What d you like reading, what sort of books?
Do hope you are feeling better and that the hospital visits go well. We have one tomorrow for my husband. Best wishes from Anne(South West)
I love hearing about your garden plans..we have a climbing rose at the front of our cottage.
Good luck to both of you with your hospital appointments this week.

How nice to once again be using your green thumbs to make the garden areas around your home lovely again this spring and summer! Are the budding plants in danger of a winter freeze?
Hope you and OH get good, helpful news at your medical appts. Cheers for not needing a trip into the city!
As always, your dinner and dessert sound delicious!
Hugs!
When I had no porridge oats to mix into crumble, I used those Quaker Oat 'just add milk or water' individual sachets instead. I used to keep them in for when I was working on an early and used to take my breakfast to work with me. I enjoyed them so much I still buy them (even though I am not currently working) when they are on offer.
Hope all goes well with the hospital appointments

Oh my, plants budding already! When does Spring usually come in your area? It will be a couple of months before we see much change her in NW Texas. I do want to plant early veggies this year. Peas, potatoes, lettuce, brocolli etc. But must wait at least 6 weeks.
Hope hospital visits go well for you both. Wednesday I have an appointment for an xray to see if I can get out of this cast and boot. Sure hope so, I'm very tired of it all!
Your supper sounds delish! I am having homemade beef and noodles and a BANANA!!! :)
Blessings!
