Parts of the North of England had very heavy snow last night and many people were stranded for several hours. Luckily this part of South East Scotland missed it. We woke this morning to bright sunlight although it was very cold. Wales now has floods as the melting snow melted and it started to rain. The forecast is for heavy rain and high winds overnight tonight.
I did not wake until after 9am, late for me.
OH went out after lunch for a walk, he also called at Aldi for me to get a bottle of red wine for the spag bol we are having for supper tonight. I started the sauce off whilst he was out. I also made a raspberry jelly and put some of the raspberries from the freezer in it. That will do us for dessert for 2 days. Chicken also taken out of the freezer to defrost for tomorrow, three meals out of that plus stock from the carcass for soup
When we were in Asda the other day I managed to get hot cross buns reduced to 15p for 4 so for afternoon tea we had a toasted hot cross bun.
I have finished the jumper I was knitting, now have to sew it up and finish the neck and button and buttonhole stand and sew on the buttons.
I put the towels in the dryer last night, obviously did not put it on long enough, so they are finishing off on the airer. They should be fine to put away tomorrow.
I have marked the 4 corners to have to do on the table runner, so might get to them tomorrow afternoon, then I just have the binding to sew down. I am waiting for a book to come before I start my next project.
The gasket and steam control came for my pressure cooker so hopefully that will be working ok again. It took me a while to get the little pressure control in, but after a bit of fiddling I managed it. So its now good to go again.

You again accomplished so much today and I can just imagine how good the spaghetti sauce smells!
There is lots of snow north of us, too, but much of ours melted today. What remains will freeze tonight.
Back to my mystery book ...!
Hugs!
