What a brilliant start to the day that was!! OH came into the sitting room yelling there is water coming out of the washer!!
By the time I got in there it was all over the kitchen floor, had he switched the machine off? of course not!! The discharge hose from the machine had come our of the drain pipe in the cupboard under the sink and discharged the water into the cupboard. I was not planning to clean the under sink cupboard or wash the floor!! All cleared up, had to throw quite a bit away. Thankfully it has not gone down into the apartment below us.
Sheets washed, Monday clean done. Towels used to mop up the floor washed and dried in the dryer, second load of washing in. We have no cake for afternoon tea, so a viccy sponge made, just waiting for it to cool before sandwiching ir with some strawberry jam.
OH is at the library doing more research into the bowls club, should be back short;y.
Supper cold chicken, salad and cous cous for supper, there are enough raspberries in jelly left for dessert.
Was that Spring and Summer? Brrrrrrrrr

Goodness me, how fortunate you didn't do your washing overnight otherwise it could have been a lot worse. Glad there was no upset for the neighbour below.
Not been a nice day here today. Been wet and windy. However, we are high enough not to be troubled by flooding.

Mercy, having water flowing in the house will send you running! Am so glad there was no real damage to your home or downstairs. Can that drain hose be better secured in the outflow pipe?
We had lots of rain overnight and all is muddy, but some bits of snow remain.
Not feeling so great today. My upper back hurts and it hurts more to take a deep breath. Is it arthritis, fibro, pneumonia, did I sleep wrong, or what? Dunno, but it's an annoying, uncomfortable bother and that is for sure.

I just wanted to say Hi and tell you I found your blog by accident, but I am enjoying looking at the scenery and learning all sorts of new things. I am finding some words very interesting. Some of them I think I know and others I will have to google. Allotment, I think, is the same as a patio. Correct? I live on a farm in South Dakota USA. I believe I have heard of your town before. I think it is where Susan Boyle lives. I was reading some of your older posts and I am going to have to do some reading on Glen Coe, as a couple comments have made me very curious.
