Friday

We had no extra snow overnight but the wind was bitter and strengthening, by lunch time the trees were swaying in the wind.

I had arranged to go and see a quilting friend for coffee this morning, I have known her for 20 years. It was good to catch up with her and hear news of the family.

OH went to the library this afternoon, I did the bit of ironing and then tackled a table runner I have been trying to finish for a while. its half finished, hopefully I will manage to finish it tomorrow. I started it well before Christmas so its time it was finished.

During the afternoon it started to snow, but not the blizzard we were told to expect. It is settling, if it continues overnight we will be getting the snow shovels out to clear the pavement. Some of our neighbours are not too steady on their feet at the best of times, slipping on snow and ice is not good even when you are young and fit.

Supper tonight, fish, chips and peas, I baked a couple of bananas to have with custard for dessert.

OH got his blood test results this afternoon, his INR has gone up a bit but not enough so more tablets.

How lovely to have a visit with an old friend! If she lives fairly close to you, perhaps you and she can get together more often when the weather warms up.

We got 3" of snow last night which is melting today. After the 4 days of rain that preceded the snow, the yard is a mud bog and fugitive worms are all over the sidewalks.

I'm about to tackle those 3 table runners I started before Christmas, too. They've been whispering to me for weeks so I need to get them finished.

Pizza and salad is for dinner here.

Hugs!

So right about slipping and falling. It is my big fear.

Dinner sounds delicious. I love fish. How do you make custard, Anne? I have never made it and I love its creaminess.

We're having BBQ chicken with rice and brocoli this evening. A perennial favorite of mine.
