Friday

Another dull and very cold day. I went to the clinic this morning about my ears. I may have to have an operation on my left ear, I have to go and see the 'Big Man' at the audiology unit in Edinburgh, deep joy, its a lousy place to get to, we will have to go on the bus, no way am I taking the car, nowhere to park without paying an extortionate amount in the city.

Yesterday I got an email saying that someone had tried to deliver a parcel to us on Jan 6th, strange that was last Sunday, said parcel had been left at the post office, even stranger. OH wandered up this morning, its a hoax, apparently our local PO has been inundated with people looking for non existent parcels.

I called into Aldi to see if they had yogurt in....no....no idea what OH is going to do, think he will have to have his banana at lunch time and I will have to sort out something else for dessert. He is back at the history library this afternoon.

At last the medication seems to be having the desired effect, I have 2 more days to take after today, so fingers crossed I might have a bit more energy then, certainly feel better than this time last week.

Fish, mash, peas and mustard sauce for supper....no idea whats for dessert.

Sorry to read that you may need surgery on your ear. Will hope the big man gives you a better and helpful alternative.

How strange about the package hoax. Don't you wonder how anyone would get their jollies from that kind of prank?

I may be off to the library today if the DVDs I requested arrive for pick-up.

It's cold and rainy but the coming 3 days are forecast to be very warm - in the upper 60s*F and lower 70s*F!

Hugs!

Hi Anne,

Hope OH didn't have a long walk to collect the non-existant parcel. How annoying. Glad it didn't leave a phone number to call because Iv'e heard those phone calls go somewhere abroad and cost a fortune to the unsuspecting caller..

Good to know the pills are working for you and good luck with your ear problem. Perhaps OH would like custard with his banana for a change.

Love Halaulani

Wonderful to hear that you are feeling better, Anne. I'm finding it takes longer and longer to recover after a bout of illness; much much longer than a year ago. Isn't dessert a fun problem to have; I often think of you and OH as we eat our bananas here.
