Welcome to 2013. We went to bed at 10pm but lay reading till the fireworks had finished at the Rugby Club behind us. Late getting up this morning. I had intended to put the slow cooker on with some soup, but forgot, so did it this morning. Used the stock from the Christmas beef, onion, leek, carrot and a load of soaked soup mix, with cannallini and butter beans, Very nice. OH retired to bed with a dizzy after lunch.
I decided that Bigger Bertha had been resting long enough, so sewed a wall hanging I started before Christmas, I just have the binding to sew down. A table runner and table centre to finish as well, hope to get them all done this week.
OH went out for a walk when he got up, we had a cup of tea and a slice of buttered Selkirk Bannock before he went out..
I changed the supper menu to bacon fritatta and salad, could not be bothered to make the quiche, wanted to carry on sewing.
So thats the frist day of 2013 over, and we go forward in the hope that it is a good year for all..............

Well done in all you accomplished on this first day of the 2013!!
If the wall hanging, table runner, and table center aren't future gifts so must be kept secret, I hope you'll let us see them.
Bother about the dd, but am glad OH wasn't down and out for very long.
It's a rainy day here so I plan to do some machine and some hand sewing.
Wishing you a good year, too.
Hugs!
Happy New Year to you both, hope 2013 will be a blessed and healthy year for you. Lovely to see some sunshine in our neck of the woods today, we had a BBQ for family and friends at lunchtime, chilly, but fun!! Thank you for sharing your ups and downs of life, it makes very good reading!! Kindest regards Heather
I am sorry to hear E. was unwell again. But happy he was up and about after a rest.
We stayed up until about 12.30am. We watched the fireworks and then went to bed. Our neighbours were still talking loudly to each other at 4.30am this morning. At which point, I got up, told them at the time and asked them to go elsewhere. I even said thank you.
Very restrained for me.

That's a lot of "doing" for one day, how satisfying !~!
OH's dizzies seem more frequent-I hope I am not remembering correctly; May he get his strength and balance back for a good long time this go round.
Your life's patterns intrigue me, Anne; thank you for sharing them so succinctly.
