After yesterdays trails and tribulations thankfully OH had a good night, I retired to bed around 8.30pm so I could keep an eye on him, spent some time on my laptop and also read for a while. I had taken a flask of hot water to make tea. OH roused at one point and asked for tea and a biscuit, drank half the tea, ate half the biscuit and went off to sleep again.
I put the light off just before midnight, OH went to the loo at 2am and went straight back to sleep. I made myself a drink and read for an hour. OH was still asleep when I got up just before 9am.
He had toast and jam for his breakfast, he needed to take medication he had missed yesterday. He tried to get up around 10.30 but gave up and went back to bed, he is still asleep now at almost 12 noon. I will wake him shortly and give him some soup for his lunch. I have an appointment at 2.30 so he will stay in bed until I get back, then I'll put him in the shower and change the sheets on the bed, he can go back to bed then if he wants. I need to sort out something for his supper. I am hoping that by late afternoon the sedation will have worn off it will be over 24 hours from his procedure.
I was thankful of sleep, I was not sure I was going to get much, but I was very tired. Not doing much today the sewing can wait until tomorrow.
The weather seems to be a bit milder, the heating is on very low in the sitting room and its quite comfortable.
Its the first meeting of the quilt group today needless to say I will not be there......

Anne, glad things are a bit calmer today and that OH seems to be rallying. By now you are settled in for the evening I'm sure. I need to make an appointment for the same procedure - always dislike it immensely, not the actual thing but the prep part - ugh and ugh again! - but have to do it every 4 yrs. due to my colon cancer history! Gotta stay healthy, lots more living to do!!
Thanks for stopping by today - I so enjoy sharing all those lovely places with my friends. Keep tuned lots more to come.
Warm hugs - Mary
By the time you get this comment most of your day will be over, hope OH is feeling more like himself and you are rested.
We have another sunny mild day again but, the forecast is predicting some snow later this week. It was bound to come.
Hugs

Today's comment from Barbara....
"Well, all of this sleep is par for the course and am glad to hear that OH has had some bits of food and tea to ease his system back to usual function.
Cheers you got more sleep than you thought you would!
Hope this evening things are back to normal with OH, his energy, and his appetite.
Be good to you!
Hugs!"
So pleased for you both that sleep came. Hope hubby feels more like himself now Ann - now a bit of advice both of you Take It Easy.

Hope things go better tomorrow and that you both get a good night's sleep tonight, though if I remember right, it is the middle of the night right now for you. Think there is about 7 hours difference between you and me.
Blessings!
