Saturday

It was -2C when I got up this morning, very heavy frsot again, looked like snow. The thermometer had gone up 4o but its still very cold. Blue sky, but very little sun just now.

OH helped me fill the bean bags with poly beads this morning, they are packed up ready to go on Monday. I was going to get OH to post them today but could not find the address, so need to wait for a reply email before I can send them.

Nothing much else done this morning except make tomato sauce for pizza....we will have it with salad for supper tonight. Oh went out for a walk, said it was bitter out. The last Saturday of the month was the Framers Market, he said there were very few stalls there. Not surprised its so blooming cold and due to get worse if the forecasters are right.I made 2 large bacon rolls for lunch with a cup of soup each, yum yum.....

Pain at a slightly lower level today, no kinked knees this morning but it will be another 2 - 3 weeks before the pain level receeds, however I will not give in.......just pottering but getting there.

OH has been waiting for a letter from Scottish Widows confirming the rise in his pension, we know how much it is it went into Bank a week ago, we need the letter for the council, no doubt they will reduce the housing and CT benefit.....and then again in April when our civil service pensions come through. Hey ho.....thats life. We could not afford to live in the apartment we do were it not for the help we get with our benefits.

OH is going to watch the indoor bowls final on TV, I think I am going to try and do a bit of sewing, will see how I feel later.

Supper tonight pizzsa with cheese and salami topping, salad, and banana something, fancy a baked banana with some toffee sauce.....hhhhmmmmm.....

Hi

I've been reading your blog for quite a while and one thing puzzles me.Why the Banana obsession? It might not be an obsession I think that is too strong a word but I wondered if it was something medical for OH?

Lesley. it is not a banaba obsession, it is the only fruit I can get OH to eat, apart from cooked fruit in crumbles etc, or in yogurt,so he has a banana every day whilst I have them, I usually buy 7 when I go shopping. Its a struggle getting him to eat his 5 a day!!

Glad you are feeling a lot better today.
We have a snowy blustery day, the temp is hovering around the zero mark so not too cold.
Not going out in it so will be sewing this afternoon.

I'm so happy to read that you are still feeling better each day but hope it won't linger the 2 to 3 weeks as it might.

Hope you income amounts stay at a level that allows you and OH to stay where you are and live comfortably.

Pizza sounds yummy and that may be a good idea for our dinner.

It was 31*F this morning but a high of 63*F is expected. I still hope for some real winter.

Hugs!

Glad to hear you are improving, even tho slowly. Isn't it frustrating when you can't find something you know you had at one time? It's happening more often for me.
Your supper sounds yummy! Mine will be homemade chicken noodle soup. Am cooking up a hen for soup and broth.
Take care...Blessings!

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better but the cold weather wouldn't be helping your pain. Glad you can still cook though.....always sounds delicious!
