Friday

......
Brrrrrrrrrr it a very cold, but crisp morning. I have just taken OH out for a short walk, he wanted to go out on his own....no way.

We both slept ok last night, I did not wake until almost 9am, so late getting breakfast.

I think the move to the guest room will come off, I am sleeping so much better in there, I am going to move the bookcase etc this afternoon after I have been to post off a parcel. There is a table I think will become redundant which I can take to bits and put in a box in the attic. I think I will put the double bed on a card in Tesco, might get a good bit towards buying a decent single bed and headboard. The bed is too good to put on freecycle its less than 2 years old and has hardly been used.

Now a question to those who read and comment on my blog.....I have posted pictures of my bags, how much would you be prepared to pay for one. They are made from heavy weight fabric, lined, and have an external pocket. approx 16 wide x 20 long. comments welcome.

Time to go and see about some lunch

Tonights sunset.....

I'm so mad - I wrote a very looooong comment and everything froze up and I couldn't complete and send, grrrrrr!!

So here's the nutshell version due to my long 'to do' list for this morning I'm strapped for time on the computer!! If you check my post today you will get an idea as to what I'm up to - complete opposite to 'living in paradise', ha! ha!

Hope all is well - that you get your new bed - and many perfect sleep filled nights in the future. I do the same often - love sleeping in my upstairs guest room without the snoring guy!

The totes are lovely but, as always, hard to put a price on ones time involved. Your sewing is meticulous - I know first hand from the lovely pillow which I enjoy so much - and you can add a markup to your materials, but pricing your time is difficult. People who don't sew have no idea of the time involved - and always quibble over prices. I went to Etsy - you can see what people are charging for handmade totes, might give you some ideas Anne. Personally I would pay $35-40 for yours personalized with something special - think what lovely gifts they would make!

Hugs - stay warm.

Barbara's comment for today....

"Like Mary, I checked Etsy and for "embroidery tote bag" and found most prices ranged from $10 to $30 with one costing $150! At market, you could offer to embroider initials, monograms, or names with the cost, plus postage to get the bag to the buyer in the weeks following market.

Hope OH gets both feet back on the ground and a clear head! That medicine certainly knocked him for a loop.

Would DS2 want to buy your extra bed or does distance make that a problem?

Cold blustery day here so am busy indoors.

Hugs!"

Hi,
I went to a fayre last year & bags like yours were priced for about £10 without any special embroidery on the pocket.

Hope your bedroom move gets you some sleep

I love everything you make but wouldn't have a clue about price.

Sounds like you've had good feedback though.
